If we were having coffee… Geek Baby Edition
05/23/2015 20 Comments
I would tell you that it’s pretty great being a dad. I would tell you that it took a week in the hospital, and a lot of hard work since, but it’s pretty great. I would also tell you we’re really not sure what we’re planning to do regarding the baby and sharing pictures online, but I would share some off my phone. Which is filling up.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that all the guest posts over on Comparative Geeks have been doing great. I would mention that they could always use some more love, but that they’ve definitely gotten people talking. I’d suggest that you go give them a look.
I would also tell you that we have guest posts that will carry us well into June, really keeping the blog afloat. At this point, it would be radio silence without them. I would say we’re thinking of new posts, other posts, but we haven’t found time to write yet.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you we’re thinking about a Twitter from the baby’s point of view, and ask whether you would read something like that.
If we were having coffee, that’s about all the time I’d have. I’d tell you I have been helping with all the feedings and need to get back to it!
Congratulations! Being a new dad must be fun.
I myself have decided against sharing my daughter’s pictures or name online, I call her “little one” at the moment. I know some parents share a lot, I guess everyone has to find his one out.

We have gone with “Geek Baby” as the phrase and have otherwise not dropped much. Well, only that much on the blogosphere, a bit more on Facebook. And then family is sharing photos on Facebook… Not sure what we think of that!
Thanks for stopping by!

Twitter from a baby’s point of view would be fun! It would also form a kind of memoire of sorts that baby geek will love in later life. When I had my daughters I started to keep a journal, so I could share things with them, the little details. I didn’t fill it in as often as I should, but they love that stuff! 😀

Hmmm the problem is I’m not sure about sharing pictures… And I don’t know how much memorable stuff you can fit into 140 characters. But you have a point – if we’re going to do it, we need to make it something that the Geek Baby can be proud of later!

That’s true, twitter can be limiting! And pictures are always a tough call. I’m sure you’ll get the balance right 🙂

Congratulations, Daddy! Gosh those cookies look good! Now I wish I was baking some. Wonder if I have anything to make cookies out of?

🙂 I imagine you guys have been far too busy to think about anything as mundane as blogging. It’s pretty amazing how something so small can change things in such a big way.

Yup! But we’re not suddenly opposed to blogging… Just wondering when it fits in! Thank you for all your guest posts!
